This is a very unique and clever title for a trip via railroad. The booklet has been folded in half which may, or may not, have been the idea, but it certainly urged the tourist to do it, thanks to the split design and its title. "On either side" means the traveler could see points of interest in one direction looking out at London (King's Cross) and Edinburgh, Waverley, Fort William, Inverness and Aberdeen from one window and then out at it from a window of the other side of the tracks. There's many sites mentioned with depiction throughout, plus a nice fold-out map in color. The booklet is clean and attractive, though does show a few worn spots to the edges of the cover, primarily at the back. There is a vertical crease at both covers, but I used clear archival tape to support it from the inside (see photo). The brochure measures 8-1/2" x 8-3/4" and has 72 pages plus some extras.
