Hardcover in dust jacket signed and dated by the artist on the half-title page. Signed in the year of publication, but with no personal inscription. 336 pages. No other marks or writing. Slight signs of wear to cover with light sunning to spine; otherwise a beautiful volume of Benton's work. Fletcher Benton (born 1931 in Jackson, Ohio) is an American sculptor and painter in San Francisco, California. Benton was a part of the Beat movement in San Francisco during the 50s and 60s working as a sign painter by day and an expressionist artist (painting) by night. Benton is widely known for his kinetic art as well as his large-scale steel abstract geometric sculptures. Essential for any art lover's collection!
