Rainer Fetting was one of the co-founders of the Galerie am Moritzplatz in Berlin, founded in the late 1970s by a group of young artists from the former Berliner Hochschule fr Bildende Knste (Berlin Art Academy, today known as Universitt der Knste). These artists, known as the Moritzboys subsequently achieved international acclaim as the Junge Wilde or Neue Wilde in the early 1980s. Fetting's vast oeuvre has continued to expand upon expressive figural painting and bronze sculpture.
