Slender, oblong softcover. No marks or writing in book. Covers are faintly rubbed. Dorothy Bryan was a Northwest Ohio artist, active in the support of the arts at Bowling Green State University. Mrs. Bryan is best known for her series, "The Chemo Paintings," created as she dealt with the physical and emotional trauma of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Following a final touring exhibition, they were permanently installed in the Toledo Medical Center Cancer Institute. In addition, award-winning filmmaker Shawn Brady of WBGU-TV produced a moving documentary about her work and her experiences, which aired on PBS. An on-campus art gallery was named for Brown and her husband.
