Hardcover, Stated First Edition Trail's End Publishing 383 pages. Good+, no DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear and spine fade to maroon cloth boards with Gilt titles - two corners bumped. Previous owner name on FFEP and stamp on title page. Only flaw is page 37 has underlining on three words - Chiricahua Cattle Company and ccc underlined in the margin. If not for this, I would grade this book as VG. Seventy-Four short but fascinating chapters, 74 B&W illustrations of which one is an original drawing by Charles M. Russell titled - The Cinch Ring (page 94) and another is a map of the Butterfield Stage Route (page 84). A ton of local western history (many names you will not be familiar with) written by a man who not only lived the history but personally knew many of the outlaws in the Southwest. Author was a cowboy at 14 yrs of age before barb wire came on the scene. Contains information about Billy the Kid and his mother. Adams/Six-Guns #1238. Handsome copy of the trade edition. LOC LR
