Very Good, No DJ. minor shelf/edge wear to Black cloth boards with gilt spine titles - corners sharp with a touch of wear. rear cover has a few small scuffs. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. There are two flaws. The half-title page has a tape-repaired tear near the gutter (archival tape was used) and page 227-228 has a chip at the bottom corner. Some slight foxing to the textblock edges. This original textbook on early aviation is loaded with photos and specifications on most World War One Aircraft and also the civilian market. 16 chapters on the state of aviation engineering circa 1920. Chapter 2 is on Multi-Motored Airplanes and has 22 different entries. Chapter 3 is on Single Motored Airplanes and has 83 entries. This book appears to have been rebound sometime in the past by Von Heill Company, Inc Bookbinders in Brooklyn, NY. A very handsome rebound original volume that will last for a few more generations.
