Professor Zarnecki is the leading authority on medieval sculpture in England. This volume (in 1979) assembles for the first time his major articles on Romanesque art published from the last twenty years. From the library of Professor Ilene Forsyth, professor emerita and alumna of the University of Michigan and a published author as well. Her husband George Forsyth, was chairman of the art history department at Michigan from 1947 to 1961, when he became director of the university's Kelsey Museum of Archeology.
