Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to Green cloth boards with black spine titles and black illustration of Marijuana leaf on the front cover - corners sharp. Moderate shelf/edge wear, rubbing, dust soiling (and a coffee stain on the rear panel) to the original and unclipped DJ - now in mylar. Blue endpapers. The Dust Jacket suffered many indignities over time but did its job and protected the book itself. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. A few B&W illustrations of people in the 1970's enjoying pot. the author, Solomon Halbert Snyder (born December 26, 1938) is an American neuroscientist who has made wide-ranging contributions to neuropharmacology and neurochemistry. He studied at Georgetown University, and has conducted the majority of his research at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He received the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research in 1978 for his research on the opioid receptor, and is one of the most highly cited researchers in the biological and biomedical sciences, with the highest h-index in those fields for the years 19832002, and then from 20072019.
