Vintage Hardcover with DJ, 1924 (actually 1937) Grosset & Dunlap 329 pages. Very Good+, in a VG+ DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to tan cloth boards with blue titles - corners sharp. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear and rubbing to DJ - now in mylar. Titles at rear of book of X-Bar X Boys lists to Hunting The Prize Mustangs published in 1937. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. NOTE: This is NOT the Photoplay edition. This is a novelization of the silent movie The Iron Horse, a 1924 American silent Western film directed by John Ford and produced by Fox Film. It was a major milestone in Ford's career, and his lifelong connection to the western movie genre. It was Ford's first major film, in part because the hastily planned production went over budget, as Fox was making a hurried response to the success of another studio's western. William Fox , January 1, 1879 May 8, 1952) was a Hungarian-American film executive who founded the Fox Film Corporation in 1915 and the Fox West Coast Theatre chain in the 1920s. The dedication page is to William Fox and mentions the film he produced. A superb vintage copy with DJ.LOC SSS-12
