"From the Fourth London Edition". Seven volume set. Ex-Library copies; with typical markings. V7 is a library rebinding in brown buckram; the other volumes are in their original brown cloth bindings. Library label on front board and on spine tail, and with a black bar across the lower spine of each. Wear at spine extremities and corners. 1/8" loss at the spine head of some volumes. Tears in the cloth at the spine head of V4. Light surface rubbing. Spine gilt dull. Some hinges cracked. Front endpapers, title page and page 15/16 detached, but present in V3. Pages age-toned.
