Hardcover, in dustjacket. States "first American edition" on the copyright page. A bit of rubbing at the corner tips and spine extremities. Couple small rub marks on the lower rear board. The top 1/2" of the book cloth is very slightly sun-darkened. A couple of surface impressions at the fore-edge of the front board. Else the binding is quite clean. The endpapers and page edges are somewhat age-toned. Else pages clean. Some edgewear, chipping to the DJ. Some chipping along the DJ spine and front spine fold. Torn along the DJ spine; the inner DJ spine has been reinforced with clean tape. Couple short mostly closed tears along the DJ rear flap fold. 1-1/2" closed tear at the top rear corner, and a 1-1/4" tear at the top front. The DJ is somewhat age-toned; particularly along the spine and folds. Presentable in the DJ protector.
