The boards have surface rubbing, and bit of staining. Edgeworn. 1" of the bottom left corner of the boards are missing; this does not affect the pop-up mechanism, or the text on the inside. A previous owners has inked a note on the inside stating as a gift from one relative to another in 1884. This is written above the text block on the inner rear board. There is also a pencilled gift inscription; this was done mostly out-of-sight under the pop-up. There is spotting to the text sheet that is on the inner rear board. The pop-up is complete and fully functional. There is a crease on one of the legs of the boy on the teeter-totter, and a crease on the head of one of the children on the bench in the foreground. The piece that forms the roof of the device is foxed, and the verso of the images are age-darkened. But the images are clean, and with bright colors. The pop-up itself is quite nice. ; 26C; 13-1/2" x 10-1/2"
