The portfolio was produced by Cocteau to mark the occasion of the artist's 80th birthday and contains reproductions Picasso's major works from 1916-1961. It is signed in pencil on the colophon by both Picasso and Cocteau. Loose as issued and housed within the original green paper wrappers and guarded in a costumed slip chemise and slip case. Total edition 255 copies, of which this specific copy is one of the copies reserved for the artist and publisher, unnumbered, and printed on handmade paper with watermark facsimiles of the signatures of Picasso and Cocteau, as used on the first 56 copies.
