I almost passed it by, but when I saw the clean, bright pages and, best of all, the amazing people working on the season's operas. Open near the beginning and what do you see but Chagall himself painting backdrops! And in the middle there is the diva herself -- Maria Callas in "Norma." So amazing to see such talent in one place. There's much more to read about other operas of the season illustrated with black and white photos. There is also a print of the cover laid-in.
