Oversized volume of the paintings of artist Axel Amuchastegui, The spectacular color plates were printed in Amsterdam by L van Leer and the text by The Curwen Press, book design by George Rainbird. Axel Amuchastegui (1921 + 2002) was a self-taught artist born in Cordoba, Argentina. He illustrated many works which were published by The Tryon Gallery, including Birds of the World,Some Birds & Mammals of North AmericaandStudies of Birds & Mammals of South America.
