The Princess and the Goblin

Brown cloth with orange lettering, vii+265 pp. Spine slightly cocked, corners chipped, some edge wear with a little chipping at top and base of spine. There is scuffing and wear along rear hinge of spine and to rear board near the spine. First couple of pages are partially detached. ;
Originally written by George MacDonald in 1872, this edition has a copyright date of 1928, printed in 1937 by Garden City Press. There is a full color illustration on the front board. It appears to have been pasted to the board, but it is also bordered by an orange outline on the board, so I believe this came from the publisher. That would imply that it might not have had a dust jacket. ; 7 " - 9 " Tall; 265 pages;
In addition to the cover illustration, there are 10 full page illustrations and numerous drawings throughout the book by Elizabeth MacKinstry.
