The book is fine, with no wear, the DJ has a couple of tiny chips at the top. Wideman's ninth work, this is about being Black in America in the last quarter of the 20th century. There is a very nice inscription to Richard and Edna Hausman , benefactors of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. Currently the Hausmans support the annual Emerging Writers Festial , at the college. It began in 2002 and Wideman's inscription is dated 1991, so while he was not an EWF participant, obviously the Haumans were supporters of wirters for many years. The book is signed by Wideman, on the ffep. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 199 pages; Signed by Author
