Includes an introduction by Edmund Lester Pearson and with illustrations by Everett Henry. Possibly published c.1950s-60s, though 1934 date appears in book. Sandglass leaflet is not present. --- Bound in grey and purple tweedy full cloth-covered boards with purple illustration, decorations, and titling on cover & spine; purple topstain. Volume wrapped in original glassine wrapper. Slipcase covered in purple paper. --- An exceptionally well-preserved copy: bright, tightly-bound and lacking markings, though with prior owner Robert Flexer's tasteful bookplate affixed to front free endpaper. Structurally sound slipcase with minimal rubbing and a strip of sunning along one panel. The glassine wrap has darkened somewhat, it otherwise lacks damages.
